ABOUT THE ROLE
This is the founding BDR position at an early-stage B2B AI startup targeting Europe's industrial sector. You will own the entire top of funnel, working directly alongside the COO to open doors at large industrial enterprises adopting AI agents in their operations. The pipeline starts here, and so does your impact on the company's growth.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Make cold calls daily, treating every conversation as real-time market feedback and a chance to sharpen your approach.
- Build and prioritize a target account list, identifying industrial enterprises that fit the ideal customer profile and the trigger events that make outreach timely.
- Work warm leads from trade fairs, webinars, and existing relationships, moving the right contacts toward booked meetings.
- Execute multi-channel outreach cadences across cold call, email, and LinkedIn, continuously refining what lands.
- Book qualified discovery meetings with procurement leaders and C-level contacts at complex industrial enterprises, with a focus on meetings that move ARR rather than activity metrics.
- Feed market intelligence, objections, and messaging insights back to the wider team to sharpen positioning and targeting.
- Shadow discovery calls and build toward running them independently over time.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 0 to 2 years of commercial experience in sales, fundraising, sponsorship acquisition, or a similar stakeholder-facing role.
- Fluent German, essential for phone conversations with German industrial buyers, plus strong professional English.
- Proven ability to execute cold outreach by phone, email, and LinkedIn and convert contacts into qualified meetings.
- Comfort building target account lists, defining ICP criteria, and prioritizing pipeline.
- Strong communicator with real presence on the phone and the resilience to keep quality high through repeated rejection.
- Growth mindset: you actively seek feedback from call reviews and can show measurable improvement over short timeframes.
- Willingness and ability to work on-site in Berlin five days per week.
- Familiarity with CRM tools and sales engagement platforms is a plus.
- Background in supply chain, procurement, manufacturing, or industrial operations is a plus.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
28 vacation days and schedule flexibility for personal needs. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
LOCATION
On-site, five days per week in Berlin, Germany.
