JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a hands-on, customer-focused Robotics Field Service Technician to support our robotic unloading systems in real-world warehouse environments. This role involves operating robotic systems, providing on-site technical support, and maintaining strong communication with customers. You will be the face of our company on the ground, ensuring reliable operation and excellent service delivery. Must be a local resident able to report on-site for the duration of the contract; this role does not offer relocation or remote work options

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Troubleshoot, repair, and upgrade robotic systems
• Troubleshoot electro-mechanical issues in real time and restore the system to operational condition with minimal downtime, escalating to remote engineering support when needed
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic faults, including work on sensors, motors, and robotic arms
• Read and understand schematics, troubleshooting guides, and other documents to isolate problems
• Support equipment upgrades and modifications

• Perform preventative maintenance
• Track and share maintenance records
• Replace worn or failed components
• Perform calibrations and daily readiness checks

• Keep detailed reports
• Document activities, repairs, and system performance through detailed field reports and Jira tickets
• Track and manage on-site spare parts and consumables to maintain adequate supply

• Maintain Customer Relations and a Safety Forward Mindset
• Interface directly with on-site customer staff, keeping them informed and ensuring a strong working relationship
• Follow all site safety procedures, including lockout/tagout and required PPE

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

• Associate’s Degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Robotics or related technical field

• 2+ years of experience in Robotics or Field Service

• Ability to work independently in fast-paced environments

• Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand and walk for 8-10 hours, and maneuver in and around equipment including tight spaces

• Willing to work in a warehouse environment that may not be climate controlled

• Flexible on shift coverage, including occasional overtime and on-call support as required

• Valid driver's license

• Authorized to work in the United States

• Strong communication skills

• Prior experience in a customer-facing or field service role

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Robotics or related technical field

• Experience in automation, robotics, or warehouse operations

• Experience working on AC and DC electrical systems, specifically 480VAC systems

• Familiarity with industrial robot arms (KUKA, Fanuc, or similar)

• Familiarity with PLCs, HMIs, or servo/motor drives

• Familiarity with Jira or other ticket management system

• Familiarity with software systems especially Linux and ROS, as well as with command line interface
