Position Overview

AST SpaceMobile is seeking a high-output  Talent Acquisition Specialist to be located in our offices in Gava, Barcelona, to own full-cycle recruiting supporting our growing business in aerospace engineering, manufacturing, integration, and test operations. The position has responsibility for overseeing and coordinating recruitment activities for all open positions across Europe.

The Talent Acquisition Specialist will be responsible for attracting, sourcing, and hiring qualified candidates to meet the organization's recruitment needs. This role manages the full recruitment lifecycle, partnering with hiring managers to identify talent requirements and ensures an excellent candidate experience while maintaining recruitment systems and processes.

This role is dedicated and not only limited to hiring engineers, technicians, and other hands-on production and administrative talent critical to spacecraft build. It’s a plus for the ideal candidate to understand manufacturing floor dynamics, and the urgency of scaling skilled labor in a fast-moving aerospace environment.

This is an execution-focused recruiting role reporting to HR Manager, requiring strong sourcing capability, hiring manager partnership, and operational discipline.

Key Responsibilities

Full-Cycle Recruiting

• Manage end-to-end recruitment processes for assigned vacancies across multiple regions in Europe.

• Partner with hiring managers to understand hiring needs, to define skill and role requirements and hiring timelines.

• Source candidates through job boards, social media, networking, referrals, and direct search.

• Screen applications, conduct initial interviews, and coordinate assessment and interview processes.

• Maintain regular communication with candidates throughout the hiring process.

• Develop structured intake meetings and calibrated screening criteria.

• Coordinate interview scheduling with the hiring manager and the hiring team, feedback loops.

• Manage our Applicant Tracking System (ATS)-  Greenhouse , LinkedIn Recruiter and local talent resources.

• Administer and maintain the Greenhouse Applicant Tracking System (ATS), including job postings, workflows, user access, reporting, and data integrity.

• Generate recruitment reports and analyze hiring metrics using Greenhouse to support data-driven decision-making.

• Manage requisitions from approval through offer acceptance and onboarding handoff partnering with the current HR team.

• Establish long-term relationships, local workforce channels and external recruitment agencies.

• Support employer branding and talent attraction initiatives.

• Continuously improve recruitment processes and candidate experience.

Screening & Assessment

• Conduct structured technical screens focused on hands-on experience

• Assess cultural alignment with a fast-paced aerospace manufacturing environment.

• Present calibrated candidate slates to hiring managers with clear evaluation summaries and risk flags.

• Conduct reference checks

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.

• Equivalent recruiting experience in engineering profiles, manufacturing or aerospace environments.

Experience

• 2+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience.  Demonstrated success or emphasis in hiring engineering, technician, manufacturing, aerospace, or industrial roles is a plus.

• Experience supporting high-volume or ramp hiring initiatives.

• Familiarity with engineering, technical skill screening for hands-on production roles.

• Experience working in a fast-scaling startup or high-growth manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Aerospace or space industry recruiting experience.

• Cleanroom or aerospace standards familiarity.
