We are seeking a motivated and organized Administrative Assistant to join the Exploration Department, supporting the day-to-day administrative activities of the department, including Mine Exploration. The successful candidate will provide efficient administrative support, maintain accurate records, coordinate documentation, and assist with departmental activities and communication.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Efficiently provide comprehensive administrative support to the Exploration Department, primarily Mine Exploration, including document management, correspondence, requisitions, purchasing, and general departmental coordination.

• Accurately manage administrative and financial processes, including RFQs, purchase requisitions, Blanket Purchase Agreements, invoice processing in compliance with SOX requirements, and follow-up on payments.

• Consistently maintain daily timekeeping, leave requests, contractor man-hours, employee and contractor requisitions, and weekly personnel in/outbound records in coordination with the relevant Geologists and Coreshack Supervisor.

• Proactively coordinate employee travel and accommodation arrangements, respond to inquiries, manage incoming and outgoing communications, and provide professional customer support to internal and external stakeholders.

• Professionally serve as the primary point of contact for the Senior Geologist or designated representative, managing correspondence, calls, meetings, visitors, and competing priorities while ensuring important matters receive timely attention.

The ideal candidate will have:

• High-school diploma VWO, IMEAO, or HAVO or higher, preferably complemented by relevant post-secondary education, specialized training, or courses in Business Administration, Management, or a related field.

• At least 1–2 years of relevant administrative experience, preferably within a corporate, mining, or professional business environment.

• Strong knowledge of administrative processes, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; knowledge of Oracle is an advantage.

• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, handle a variety of assignments, prioritize tasks, and work with a sense of urgency.

• Fluency in both Dutch and English, verbally and in writing.

• Ability to maintain a professional, pleasant, and courteous manner when interacting with internal and external stakeholders.

• Willingness to work in Brokopondo on a rotational schedule of 5 days of work followed by 2 days break

• Good communication and interpersonal skills in Dutch and English.

• If selected, you will be required to submit a Police Clearance Certificate (“Bewijs van Goed Gedrag”). Please initiate the request at your respective District Commissariat.
